Born and raised in Memphis, TN, Caroline always had a passion for performing. She left home early to spend two years at Interlochen Arts Academy, before heading off to Baldwin Wallace University to pursue a Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre.
Murrah... Brings grit and innocence to the part of Natalie... She has a lovely, reedy quality that belies the iron underneath, not unlike Tony Nominee Elizabeth Davis... One of the stars of Broadway's 'Once.'"
- The Plain Dealer, Andrea Simakis
"Murrah, in the role that won Jane Adams a 1994 Tony, deserves an award of her own for her seemingly delicate Sheila emerging as the determinedly sensible, and funny, heart of the piece."
- River Cities' Reader, Mike Schulz
When Caroline is not performing, she loves to teach, read books, and watch Food Network. She has also enjoyed volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland. Last summer, she had the opportunity to study art and architecture in Europe. Caroline is proud to call herself a nerd and could spend all afternoon in an art museum!
"Murrah also shows a tenderness and, like DeBoer, a vulnerablility that just lends greater depth to the character."
-Sun News, Chuck Poliafico
"The spectacular voice of Caroline Murrah... Is exquisite in its clarity and emotional intensity. What's remarkable about Murrah's voice is she has all the polish and precision of a mature operatic virtuoso. To hear her sing is nothing short of a treat..."
- Desoto Times-Tribune, Robert Lee Long
"Caroline Murrah appealingly plays Cosette... She lends her dynamic voice and presence to a stellar performance."
-Carroll County Mirror- Democrat, Angie Field
Caroline is currently living in New York City, pursuing her career as an actress. She is looking forward to the next adventure!
